It may be Friday the 13th but the only thing that’s scary is how busy Solid Harmony is getting. With at least one gig a month plus next week’s singing exams, they are not going to get any sleep until August.
Next Friday will see 17 students (our biggest group yet!) take part in a singing exam. For most of the group it will be their first time entering and they have really taken up the challenge. For some it has been a new experience having to learn songs from as far back as the 1800’s as well trying to fit 5 songs into their repertoire.
I know they will do a great job – Good Luck Guys!!!
As I mentioned earlier, the choir are also managing to fit in 5 gigs over the next 4 months!!! You have NO EXCUSE to miss one!
Their first performance will be as part of a Make Poverty History Event at Stratford Circus on the 21st April (the day after the singing exam!). Then just 11 days later, on the 2nd of May, the choir will be featuring at UEL’s Mayfest!
June the 3rd will see the choir perform at the Launch Event for the Newham Arts Festival, with the official evening taking place on the 5th at the Royal Festival Hall.
In July, the choir will once again make an appearance at the Mayor’s show, make sure we see you there!
As usual, I’m out of breath just typing this for you guys!
We all look forward to seeing you at the shows.
